Austrian Patent Office AT12284U1 2012-03-15
description
BENDED SURFACE PATTERN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
The invention relates to a pliable fabric, in particular for disguising interior trim parts of vehicles, which is at least partially provided with a Verprä-supply and a method for its preparation.
From serial production, it is known to dress interior parts with a decorative layer. As a decorative layer, for example, correspondingly treated leather hides, textile fabrics or plastic films can be used. For a high-quality appearance, it may be desirable to provide the decorative layer with an embossment, for example a company logo.
Such stampings are applied to the visible side of the decorative layer with an embossing die, on the embossing side of the negative of the motif to be embossed is attached. For this purpose, the embossing stamp pending of the material to be embossed is heated to a defined temperature and held with a defined pressure for a predetermined period of time on the material.
It has been found that this method is not equally suitable for all materials. For example, Alcantara, a microfibre fleece that is often used in interior furnishing vehicles, can not or can not be permanently embossed.
In order to eliminate this deficiency, it has been proposed in DE 10 2004 047 667 A1 to apply a high-frequency field in the region of the embossment, so that a plastic substrate resting against the back of the Alcantara is melted. The melted material penetrates into the fiber structure of the Alcantara and is solidified by the die. As a result, a durable embossment can be achieved.
A disadvantage of the proposed solution is that the molten plastic backing must be matched in color to the color of the Alcantara, otherwise there may be another color image.
The object of the invention is to provide a pliable fabric that can be permanently embossed despite poor embossing properties and a method for manufacturing.
The object is achieved with the features of claim 1. The corresponding method results from the features of claim 4.
The essence of the invention is based on the fact that the textile layer to be embossed, for example Alcantara, is glued to a dermis and embossed together. Leather is an excellent verprägbares material and is accordingly well suited as a carrier material for the poorly embossable textile layer.
To be reinforced, this effect can still by the textile layer is split before bonding to the dermis. Columns is the process in which the textile layer is divided over its entire surface into two layers. This means that the textile layer is reduced in thickness. The textile layer optically retains its appearance; the properties responsible for the embossing behavior, such as the plastic deformation behavior and the elasticity, lose their influence. The properties of the dermis predominate in the composite material and can thus be better utilized during embossing.
To improve the processability of the composite material, the resulting composite material can be further reduced by splitting in thickness after bonding the textile layer to the dermis.
The inventive method for embossing a pliable fabric characterized by the following steps: 1/5 Austrian Patent Office AT12284U1 2012-03-15 · Columns of the textile layer · Gluing the split, textile layer with a dermis to form a composite material · embossing of the composite material After bonding the split, textile layer with the dermis to form a composite material, the composite material can be split within the dermis in order to achieve improved processability.
For a long durability and good resilience of the adhesive bond between the textile layer and the dermis, a two-component adhesive can be used.
The resulting composite material can be cut before embossing to set the embossing pattern exactly to the desired location.
For this purpose, after cutting the die is positioned on the composite material and then embossed with a defined temperature, a defined pressure and holding time.
The following parameters have proven to be particularly practical:
Temperature range between 70 ° C and 130 ° C.
Pressure range between 30kN to 140kN
Holding time between 15s to 180s Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a textile layer, Fig. 2 adhering the textile layer to a dermis to form a composite material, Fig. 3 shows the composite material, and Fig. 4 embosses the composite material.
FIG. 1 shows a textile layer 1, which may be Alcantara, for example. The arrow 2 indicates schematically how the cleavage of the textile layer takes place. Namely, over the entire surface, so that the textile layer 1 is divided into an upper layer 3 and a lower layer 4. As a rule, the splitting takes place with a horizontally rotating knife (not shown). The textile layer 1 has a total thickness dTextii; the upper layer 3 has a thickness djextji split after splitting.
The upper layer 3 comprises the visible side 5, also called right side, the textile layer 1 and is further processed. For this purpose, the upper layer 3 is adhesively bonded with its rear side 6 to a dermis 7 according to arrow direction 8. The adhesive is over the entire surface of the upper side 9, also called left side, of the dermis 7 applied in this exemplary embodiment. The dermis 7 has a thickness of the total. Since in each case the two roughened undersides of the two layers are glued together, the adhesive adheres optimally.
The resulting composite material 10 is, as Figure 3 shows, split again in the direction of the indicated arrow 1 I, and indeed within the leather layer. In the case of the dermis 7, a thickness D L of the split remains. In this respect, the thickness of the composite material Svemund to be embossed results from the thickness of the upper layer 3 of the textile layer 1 dTextii split and from the thickness of the split one
Dendia 7 D [split-split] The composite material 10 is then cut to size and then fed to the embossing device 11. The embossing device 11 is shown in Figure 4 only schematically with a die 12, a power transmission spindle 13 and a support 14. The 2/5

Claims (10)
[1]
Austrian Patent Office AT12284U1 2012-03-15 Support 14 rests on a base 15. By means of the spindle 13 is applied to the heated to a temperature of 80 ° C die 12 of the desired pressure in the amount of 100kN according to arrow 16 and held for about 60s. Thereafter, the die 12 is relieved again. The composite material 10 can be removed and further processed. The temperature, pressure and holding time chosen in this embodiment are suitable for textile layers of Alcantara. If another non or permanent embossable material is chosen, the embossing parameters should be adjusted accordingly. Claims 1.
